Payment Procedures

All cat sitting service payments must be settled in full before the service commences. Caledon Kitty Sitter accepts cash or e-transfer. An email copy of your cat sitting invoice will be sent before your departure date.

Cancellation Policy

Caledon Kitty Sitter mandates a minimum 48-hour notice for the cancellation of cat sitting services. Cancellations within this period will incur a charge equivalent to two (2) days of the booked service value or the remaining booked visits, whichever is lesser. Notably, bookings during the Christmas and New Year’s season, if made, are non-refundable and cannot be credited for future visits.

Early Return and Refunds

Early returns from your trip fall under the aforementioned cancellation policy. If more than 2 days remain in the booking term, no refund will be issued. However, a credit for future services will be applied to your account.

Additional Expenses

Clients are responsible for any expenses beyond the cat sitting service, such as pet illness/veterinarian visits, acquiring food, medication, or supplies, and any wait time associated with approved emergency home maintenance. Parking fees, if required for visits, are the client's responsibility and will be charged at cost.

Key Management

You have several options for granting us access to your home. Our preferred method is through a lockbox, providing convenient access for others who may need it, such as cleaners or contractors. If you reside in a building with 24-hour concierge service, we can pick up and return keys with each visit. Please note that we do not retain keys on file, and access to homes must be through a lockbox or concierge.

Timing of Cat Visits

Unless there's a medical reason for a specified time, owners are encouraged to book 'Any time of day' visits, allowing us to choose the most suitable time based on our schedule and travel route. Alternatively, you can customize visits to align with your travel plans, with a surcharge applicable for this option. Premium surcharges for Morning or Evening-only visits will increase to 15% per visit. Twice-a-day visits are scheduled 8-12 hours apart, prioritizing kitties requiring time-sensitive medications. While we strive to accommodate visit time requests, please understand that dealing with kitties and traffic can be unpredictable.
